Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the number of characters which are displayed without increasing a tablet nor a display unit in size by providing a control means which displays a reduced character from a storage means on a character display part after one handwritten character is inputted. CONSTITUTION:While one handwritten character is inputted, a display switching part 28 reads real-image character data out of a real-image character storage control part 25 and displays a character of the same size with the handwritten character being inputted on the display unit 30 as shown in a figure. Then a one-character detection part 27 detects the input completion of the handwritten character on detecting, for example, a specific place on the tablet 2 being specified with a pen 23. A display switching control part 28 reads reduced character data out of a reduced character storage control part 26 and displays the read reduced character data right behind a reduced character corresponding to a handwritten character which is inputted last, i.e. in an area which is a quarter as large as the real image character at right upper part of the display unit 30. Consequently, the number of characters which are displayed can be increased without making the tablet 22 nor the display unit 30 large.
