Abstract:
PURPOSE:To regulate extensively the brightness of a display surface, by making a constitution in which a back light device radiating the back of a permeation light quantity control type display panel is equipped with a beam cross section area regulator which radiates the light from a light source onto the back of the display panel and at the same time regulates the cross section area of the beam. CONSTITUTION:An information light projector K arranged at the lower part of a front glass piece C is constituted with an optical member A and an optical information display means D, and this display means D is constituted with a permeation type liquid crystal display panel (permeation light quantity control type display panel) D1, a light source D2 provided at its back and a light beam cross section area regulator D3. And this regulator D3 is constituted so that an inner pipe D32 may be moved advanceably/retreatably toward the liquid panel D1 by driving a motor M through a motor drive circuit T according to the detection signal of a background brightness sensor S, and as a result, the cross section area of the light beam radiating the back of the liquid crystal panel D1 may be able to be regulated, and a display brightness may be regulated.
