Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the pressure resistance and heat transferring efficiency of a vessel by filling each of tubular enclosed vessels with a relatively small quantity of metal hydride and fitting a plurality of these enclosed vessels to a heat medium vessel. CONSTITUTION:The tubular enclosed vessel 11 is divided into a first chamber 13 and a second chamber 14 by a diaphragm 12, the first chamber 13 being filled with a first metal hydride M1H and the second metal chamber 14 being filled with a second metal hydride M2H. A heat medium vessel 15 accommodating therein eah second chamber 14 of the tubular enclosed vessel and a heat medium 16 is provided, and connected to a heat exchanger 18. The first metal hydride M1H is heated to discharge hydrogen or cooled to occlude hydrogen. The second metal hydride M2H occludes exothermically hydrogen or discharges endothermically hydrogen to carry out heat-exchange with the heat medium 16 within the heat vessel 15.
