Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance the decorativeness and corrosion resistance of the titled parts by plating the surface of a copper alloy with Ni or an Ni alloy by electrodeposition, forming a gold or gold alloy layer on the plating, and carrying out diffusion under heating. CONSTITUTION:The surface of armor parts for a watch made of a copper alloy are coated with Ni or an Ni alloy by electrodeposition in 1-3mum thichness, and gold or gold alloy layers are formed on the coats by plating. Diffusion is then carried out under heating at about 200-500 deg.C to form diffused layers of gold at portions subjected to have striped such as streaking finish. Thus, armor parts for a watch with fine appearance and corrosion resistance can be obtd.
