Title:
OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5914150
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an optical disc suitable for writing using semiconductor laser beams and good in S/N ratio, by forming an org. thin film contg. a specified org. compd. having an absorption band in the long wavelength region on a substrate.

CONSTITUTION: A compd. represented by the shown formula (R1, R2 are each alkyl or they may form a ring together with N; R3WR6 are each H, Cl, Br, I, alkyl, alkoxy, or OH, and R3, R4 may combine with each other to form a benzene ring, and R5, R6 may combine to form a benzene ring) is deposited by vacuum evaporation onto a substrate 1 of plastics, glass, or metal, or dispersed into a resin to form a thin film 2, or a reflective layer 3 made of aluminum or the like is formed on the substrate, and the film 2 is formed on it. This film 2 is suitable for writing and reading using semiconductor laser beams, especially ≥750nm wavelengths, and good in heat resistance. and a superior optical disc can be obtained.
