Abstract:
PURPOSE:To remove inbalance of the title machine by preventing clothes from being shifted to one side and to smoothly proceed to a centrifugally dehydrating process, by a method wherein the amount of the clothes is detected at the early stage of washing-operation, and on the basis of its information, water is discharged to a waterlevel corresponding to the amount of the clothes detected, and then balanced agitation is carried out. CONSTITUTION:First of all, reverse agitation is performed, and the counter-electromotive force of a motor 8 in the case where a rotary member 6 is revolved by its inertia when electricity is turned off, is detected by the terminal voltage of a condenser 8a for driving the motor 8. The terminal voltage is converted to a direct current rectangular pulse train, and the time t1 between this pulses is measured, and thus the amount of clothes is decided. Just before the end of the agitation for washing, short periodical agitation is intermittently, carried out i.e., ON-OFF, and thus the inbalance produced at the agitation for the washing is removed and the loosened effect for the clothes is obtained. This effect is attained at the waterlevel suitable for the amount of the clothes, i.e., at the condition which is preset so that the force of the inertia of the clothes at the time when agitation is stopped, is retarded and an excessive motion is restricted. On the other hand, at manual operation, e.g. even if the waterlevel is preset at a high waterlevel and the small amount of the clothes is washed, the title washing is controlled so that the water is discharged to a low waterlevel and the balanced agitation is performed, by the information of a detector-preset waterlevel obtained previously.
