PURPOSE: To obtain a substrate having uniform finish excellent in weatherability, water resistance, crack resistance or the like by forming a specific primer layer on the surface of an inorg. substrate and forming a specific intercoat paint film layer on the surface thereof and forming a topcoat paint film layer on the surface thereof.
CONSTITUTION: An aq. primer based on an acrylic emlusion resin, an epoxy emulsion resin, a curing agent and a filler is applied to the surface of an inorg. substrate to form a primer layer and intercoat paint containing a silyl group- containing resin as a binder is applied to the surface of the primer layer to form an intercoat paint film layer. Next, topcoat paint containing a hydrolyzed condensate of alkoxysilane represented by formula (wherein R is a 1-8C org. group, R1 is a 1-5C org. group and n is an integer of 0-2) as a binder is applied to the intercoat paint film layer to form a topcoat paint film layer.
