Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance to hydrochloric acid in a Cr-Ni-W alloy by adding Mn thereto and preventing the precipitation of a Cr-rich layer in a Cr solid solution. CONSTITUTION:This is a chromium base corrosion resistant alloy having a compsn. contg., by weight, 30.0 to 48.0% Ni and 1.5 to 15% W or/and 1.0 to 6.5% Mo and 1.0 to 10.0% Mn and in which the total of W and Mo is regulated to 15.0% at the maximum, and the balance >=40.0% Cr with inevitable impurities and its powder. If required >=15.5% Fe or/and <=10.0% Co (20% total of Fe and Co at the maximum) may be added. Moreover, one or >= two kinds among 0.3 to 2.0% C, 0.1 to 1.5% B and 0.1 to 3.0% Si may be added according to necessary.
