Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which has a long life and is composed by laminating a hard protecting layer on an organic photosensitive layer.

CONSTITUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor composed of an organic photosensitive layer 2, the first surface protecting layer 3 and the second surface protecting layer 4 which are laminated in order on a conductiye supporting body 1, the first surface protecting layer 3 is composed of carbon being the main component and a film containing only hydrogen and oxygen, and the second surface protecting layer 4 is composed of a film containing at least carbon, metallic element (for instance tin), oxygen and hydrogen.
