PURPOSE: To provide a contact combustion type gas-detector in which the impact resistance is enhanced significantly without sacrifice of sensitivity.
CONSTITUTION: The catalyst combustion type gas detector comprises a detecting body 18 where a detecting element 15 having a detecting part 16 is stretched across a pair of supporting pins 12, 13 secured to a base body 11, a comparing body 21 where a comparing element 25 having a comparing part 26 is stretched across a pair of supporting pins 22, 23 secured to the base body 11, a cap 28 covering the detecting body 18 and the comparing body 21 so that gas can be passed freely, and means 30 for buffering the displacement of the detecting part 16 and the comparing part 26 caused by impact. The buffering means 30 comprises a butter 31 for buffering the displacement in the extending direction of the supporting pins 12, 13, and a buffer 35 for buffering the displacement in the direction perpendicular thereto.
