PURPOSE: To perform feeding, end face working and discharging of a work piece continuously by carrying and spinning the work piece then pressure contacting the end face against the polishing means to perform polishing.
CONSTITUTION: A semi-spherical end face working machine 5 will absorb and hold the spherical face of a semi-spherical body from above with negative pressure then rotary transfer said body in counter-clockwise while spinning. Said machine 5 is equipped with a lap grindstone machine 6 and a buff machine 7 on the transfer locus of said body where the lap machine 6 and the buff machine 7 will rotate respectively in clockwise and counter-clokwise. At the lap machine 6 position, said machine 5 will pressure contact the lower end face of said body against the grindstone machine 6 with predetermined pressing force to perform polishing work by means of the grindstone machine 6. Thereafter the buff working is applied on the end face of said body by means of the buff machine 7. Consequently feeding, end face working and discharging of the work piece can be performed continuously.
