Abstract:
PURPOSE:To distinctively decide whether a recording medium is invalid or whether a read system is abnormal by making a decision by another different check system when a decision means decides falsehood by one check system. CONSTITUTION:The CRC code of check data 14c read out of a recording track is compared with a CRT code calculated based on th ticket data 14c read by a magnetic head to decide whether or not they match each other. when the CRC codes match each other, a passenger ticket 14 of an A company group is decided, but when not, a CRC calculation is obtained based on the ticket data 14b and converted by the system of a company B and it is recompared with the CRC code of the check data 14c. When the CRC codes match each other, a passenger ticket 14 of a B company group is decided, but when not, it is decided that the ticket is abnormal due to an error in the ticket data, a defective read, or abnormality anyhow; and the abnormality of the ticket is displayed on a guide display unit 17 and an opening/closing door 12 is closed.
