Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a cooling device for a powder molding press in which a cooling method is employed for stably press-molding a product by suppressing the temperature change, i.e., dimensional change, of an adaptor and punch that is caused by the heat generated at the time of press molding of a powder molding press.

CONSTITUTION: In a powder molding press equipped with an upper punch and a lower punch comprising a metallic mold and with an adaptor supporting these upper and lower punches, a gas introducing hole 71 is provided at least in one member among the upper punch 4, lower punch 11, 12, 13 and adaptor 21, 22, 23; a tube 74 for introducing a gas is connected to the hole; and cooling is carried out by blowing a cooling gas G.
