Abstract:
A method of solubilizing iodine in an aqueous medium is disclosed, which includes mixing the aqueous medium with iodine together with a polystyrene derivative having the recurring units of the formulap having 1-4 carbon atoms and n is an integer of 2-20. An antiseptic composition includes an aqueous medium, the above polystryene derivative, and iodine dissolved in the aqueous medium.
