Abstract:

Each constituent fluid is introduced in a chamber (24, 36) provided with liquid level controlling devices (34, 44) that establish a liquid free head space (54, 56) which is connected to a source of pressure gas (46) operative to displace liquid from the chambers through metering devices (100, 102) one of which (102) is adjustable prior to the introduction to a chamber (58) where the constituent fluids combine. As described, the fluids are water and syrup, and after mixing they are passed to a carbonating vessel (64). Flow of the liquids from their respective containers is achieved by establishing a pressure difference between the chambers (24, 36) and the mixing chamber (58) by means of a bias regulator valve (106).
