PURPOSE: To prevent the setting error of a transmission original at communication on a private line by equipping a detecting means for original size and a means commanding the original size at communication of the private line to compare both size data at the communication on the private line.
CONSTITUTION: A button K3 commanding the communication on private line is provided on an operation panel and the transmission command of A5 size of the private line communication mode is performed by the operation. Further, stop lines 12B, 12C and 12A, 12D are formed at the side of guide slots 12, 12 of an original guide plate 4, the stop lines 12B, 12C are formed as the width of A5 size and a sensor switch SWA5 is provided thereto. In case of the transmission of private line communication, the original size is set by the operation of the button K3. That is, the transmission is enabled by the coincidence between the switch signal of switches SWA5, SWA4 and the size setting set by the K3, the operation error is informed by lamp flicker or alarm when dissidence, and also the transmission is made ineffective.
