Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable to accumulate heat by means of a concrete block by a method wherein a ridged surface exclusively for heat transfer is formed onto the inner peripheral surface of each of through holes bored in the concrete block and the outer peripheral surface of the block is coated with heat insulating material. CONSTITUTION:A concrete block is formed by placing concrete 3 in the inner peripheral surfaces of a heat insulating material 1, which has a nearly rectangular cylindrical form and is made of hard polystyrene foam and stood vertically so as to serve as a mold, and the outer peripheral surfaces of a plurality of concrete pipes 2 formed by extrusion, which have the same length as said heat insulating material 1 and vertically located within the heat insulating material 1, and then hardening and setting the concrete 3, resulting in forming the through holes 5 by means of the pipes 2. The surface 4 with a plurality of wavy ridges running along the direction of the center line of the pipe 2 is formed onto the inner peripheral surface of each of pipes 2 formed by extrusion. It may be better to increase the weight of the block by imbedding cutting scraps, steel pieces or reinforcing bar pieces or the like within the concrete 3.
