PURPOSE: To provide a lifting/lowering device for display device capable of easily adjusting the installation height of a plane type display device, such as liquid crystal display device or plasma display device.

CONSTITUTION: A rotary plate 3 having ruggedness formed on its circumference is freely turnably supported on a pin disposed in the central part of a U-shaped supporting base 1b which is erected on a base 1a and is opened on one side by exposing both right and left sides thereof from holes on both sides of the supporting base 1b. The plane type display device 2 is provided with a horizontally long hole 2b on a rear surface plate 2a and is supported by loosely fitting a supporting pin 5 disposed on the side face of the rotary plate 3 into this hole 2b. A square hole 1e is disposed below the central part of the supporting base 1b and a pin 8 is horizontally disposed in this hole 1e. A stopper 7 is freely turnably supported at this pin 8. A spring 9 is extended between the end of this stopper 7 on the rear surface side of the supporting base and the base 1a, thereby, the sharp angled part formed at the other end of the stopper 7 is meshed with the ruggedness of the rotary plate 3.
