PURPOSE: To improve a yarn strip switching succeeding rate by reducing a variation in winding tensile force at yarn strip switching time.
CONSTITUTION: An upper yarn strip switching mechanism 9 and a lower yarn strip switching mechanism 9 are respectively arranged in a position where a contact angle increases according to rotation of a turret member 2 after a peripheral surface of an empty tube 50 contacts with a yarn strip when the empty tube 50 inserted and installed in a spindle 4 is moved toward the yarn strip supported by respective yarn passage regulating guides of the yarn strip switching mechanism 9 by the rotation of the turret member 2. A yarn searching guide 25 of the lower yarn strip switching mechanism 9 is rotated by a dog 30 installed on the turret member 2 by interlocking with the rotation of the turret member 2, and a yarn winding guide plate 31 is moved, and the yarn strip is moved in the axis lengthwise direction of the tube 50.
