PURPOSE: To conduct stevedoring rapidly and safely in the case of a container ship or the like by fixing a shore-contacting hull so that an upper deck having parallel long recesses in a ship width direction may become on a level with a quay wall, carrying out the adjacent of long lateral pits provided at the quay wall and the parallel long recesses, and conducting cargo transfer by arranging self-travel type long conveyors with hydraulic jacks.

CONSTITUTION: A vessel 1 stuck to a quay wall 3 is fixed so that an upper deck 2 may become on a level with the quay wall 3. This fixation is carried out by conducting bottom sticking or conducting support at the quay wall 3 and a dolphin. Parallel long recesses 10 that are in a ship width direction and provided in parallel with each other at proper intervals at the upper deck 2, are adjusted to lateral parallel long pits 7 provided at the quay wall 3, and self-travel type long conveyors 8 are arranged between the parallel long recesses 10 and the lateral parallel long pits 7, and the transfer of cargoes is conducted between the upper deck 2 and fixed conveyors 11 at the quay wall 3. The self- travel type long conveyors 8 are made ascendable/descendable by means of hydraulic jacks.
