Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain metallic powder added to a coating capable of reducing formation of white rust and improving corrosion resistance by subjecting metallic powder composed of a metal (alloy) electrochemically baser than iron to specific surface treatment and forming a coating film on the surface of the powder. CONSTITUTION:The objective powder obtained by subjecting metallic powder composed of a metal such as Zn or Cr electrochemically baser than iron or an alloy of two or more thereof and/or an alloy such as Zn-Ni electrochemically baser as the alloy than the iron even if part of the metal in the aforementioned alloy is electrochemically nobler than the iron to (A) phosphate-based surface treatment, (B) chromate-based surface treatment, (C) simple dilute solution treatment such as a silica sol solution or aluminum biphosphate solution and/or (D) other treatments used for normal surface treatment and forming a film having preferably 50Angstrom to 5mu thickness on the surface of the above-mentioned metallic powder.
