Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a hard endoscope in which the signal cable and the light guiding cable of an extended image pickup device do not disturb operation and whose operability is good.
CONSTITUTION: As to the hard endoscope in which an observed image transmitting optical system 12 and a light guiding fiber bundle 13 for illumination are inserted in a slender inserting tube 11; a mount 16 for connecting an image pickup device 20 picking up the observed image transmitted by the observed image transmitting optical system 12 is provided on the base end side of the inserting tube 11, and also the incident end part 13b of the light guiding fiber bundle 13 for the illumination is arranged inside the mount 16.
