PURPOSE: To electrically confirm the normal engagement between a cable presser part and a connector main body in a pressure-connection type connector.

CONSTITUTION: A conductor 8, which includes electrode parts 8a an d 8b, is provided in a connector main body 1. A cable presser part 3 is provided with pins 7a, 7b, which are to be connected to the electrode parts 8a, 8b when the cable presser 3 is engaged with the connector main body 1 normally. Consequently, in the case of the normal engagement that a cable 5 is crimped for connection by a crimping terminal 6 normally, the pin 7a, the electrode part 8a, the conductor 8, the electrode 8b and the pin 7b form a conductor circuit continued electrically, and a continuity test is performed between the pins 7a, 7b to confirm the engagement of this pressure-connection type connector.
