The invention relates to a method and a device for the improved all-round sterilisation of stacked packaging elements, in particular cups with different wall thicknesses, in a separate sterilising chamber (18) and a preceding pre-sterilising chamber (10), in which the stacked cups are pre-sterilised with H2O2-containing air from the sterilising chamber (18) and delivered to the sterilising chamber after the pre-sterilisation.
