PURPOSE: To construct a low-priced home automation system by receiving control information from an external trunk line by means of a remote control means attached to an electrified household product, converting it to stored operation data and performing the radio transmission of those data.

CONSTITUTION: The operation data of respective electrified household products 6-8 are read in from a light receiving circuit 5 of a telephone set 18 by a remote controller 9 and stored in a memory circuit 10 in the unit of an identification number attached to each electrified household product. The control information sent from the outside through the trunk line to the telephone set 18 is fetched through a speaking circuit 3 to a control part 15. The fetched control information is converted to the remote control operation data stored in the memory circuit 10 per the electrified household products 6-8, and the remote control transmission of those data is transmitted through a light emitting circuit 19 to the objective electrified household product. Thus, it is not necessary to connect the telephone set to the electrified household products by cables, and the low-priced home automation system can be provided.
