PURPOSE: To reduce the contact part with the wall surface of a guide passage of the leading end part of a label tape by providing the guide passage of the label tape having one or more protruding part extending in the longitudinal direction of the contact surface of the label tape formed thereto.

CONSTITUTION: A label tape 3 to which ink is transferred by a thermal head 11 is guided to the guide passage 9 formed to a cassette case 1 in the direction separated from a platen by the guide part 8 provided in the vicinity of a recessed part 7. The leading end part of the label tape 3 is guided while brought into contact with the wall surface 9a of the guide passage 9 but the protruding part 9b extending in the direction parallel to the feed direction of the label tape 3 is continuously formed to the wall surface 9a. Therefore, the contact part with the label tape 3 becomes only the protruding part 9b formed to the wall surface 9a and the label tape 3 does not come into contact with other part. Therefore, the label tape 3 wound around a core 2a is reduced in its winding diameter and prevented from hooking on the way without receiving the effect of a winding habit.
