PURPOSE: To reduce the necessity of manual operations by an operator in aligning adjustment relating to a garment body and a passing operation to a sewing machine, etc., and to perform an efficient automatically controlled attaching work at the time of attaching an elastic band to the garment body.

CONSTITUTION: This device for attaching the elastic band 38 to the garment body 40 is provided with a frame, a control system box, rolls 26, 28 and 30 and a sensor 44, etc., and a sewing machine 24. During an attaching process, the garment body is monitored and aligning-maintained by the sensor and a guide roll 32 electrically connected to the control system box for facilitating the various kinds of operations and is simultaneously maintained in a desired form by a tension roll 30.
