PURPOSE: To get a compact gas insulated bus by making the dielectric constant small, and suppressing the disturbance of field intensity distribution thereby improving the withstand voltage by supporting and fixing the connecting conductor covered with an insulating material to a gas pipe by means of supporting member being constituted by foaming the insulating member provided with a through hole.
CONSTITUTION: A spacer 22 is made by foaming polyethylene of the same material as the insulating layer 21 of a connecting conductor 20. And, the connecting conductor 20 covered with the insulating layer 21 is fixed to an supported by the gas pipe 15 by the spacer 22. Moreover, a plurality of through holes are provided at the nearly middle part of the spacer 22, and the inflow and outflow of the insulating gas of the gas pipe 15 are performed by these through holes. Accordingly, the intensity of the electric field at the surface of the insulating layer 2 drops. Hereby, the disturbance of the electric field distribution at the interface between the gas gap and the spacer 22 can be suppressed, and it can be contracted.
