Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent an event where the ink ribbon is stuck to and dragged by a print medium if printing is restarted after having been stopped during operation.
CONSTITUTION: When a print key is pressed, print image data is generated (S110), and printing of one dot line is performed (S120). Then, if the cancel key is not pressed (No in S130), a next dot line is printed. On the other hand, if the cancel key is pressed during the printing operation (Yes in S130), energization of the thermal head is stopped, and the ink ribbon and the print tape are then conveyed up to a position where the ink ribbon completely separates from the print tape (S150-S170).
