Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a microfilm retrieving device which can discriminate that a reading error happens when a blip is erroneously read because of scratch, dust and stain caused on a microfilm in the case that retrieval is performed by using the blip. CONSTITUTION:The pitch (p) of the blip is checked by counting the blips and collating marks to the end of a range between two collating marks including a target frame, and replacing the counted value alpha of the blip with a collating mark counted value (beta-n) by judging that the reading error of the blip happens when both counted values alpha and beta do not coincide while feeding the film in a forward direction again after the film is returned to the collating mark one before. By judging that it is the correct blip in the case that the pitch (p) is within a specified range P, '1' is added to the counted value alpha of the blip so as to judge whether it is the target frame or not. By judging that it is not the blip in the case that the pitch (p) is out of the range P, the detection of the next blip is waited for without adding '1' to the counted value alpha.
