Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption in the standby state in an automobile telephone set and a portable telephone set operated by a battery. CONSTITUTION:The equipment is provided with a means 10 operating reception systems 2, 4, 8 intermittently in the standby state, a means controlling the period of an intermittent reception operation, and a means 3 detecting an electric field strength at the intermittent reception and when the detected electric field strength is weak, the period of the intermittent reception is extended to reduce power consumption. Or power is supplied only to the circuits 2, 4 relating to the detection of the electric field strength in the standby state to be in operation and when the electric field strength in the standby state is continuously weak over a prescribed period, all power is interrupted and the circuit is restarted by ON operation of the power switch.
