Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate the malfunction of a spark supervisory device by a method wherein an antenna-system spark detector and a CM coupling-system spark detector are provided and judgement of spark occurrence is made only when detecting signals are simultaneously obtained from both detectors. CONSTITUTION:Antennas 6 are arranged around current collecting rings 1, 2 or brushes 3 and an antenna-system spark noise detector 7 detecting an electromagnetic wave signal following spark occurrence is installed. Furthermore, a CM coupling-system spark noise detector 11 detecting a harmonic voltage signal following spark occurrence is installed on exciting wires 10 supplying the brushes 3 with exciting current. The output signals in both spark noise detectors 7 and 11 are induced to an AND circuit 16 and an alarm equipment 17 is operated only when detecting signals are simultaneously obtained from both detectors to judge spark occurrence.
