PURPOSE: To improve safety, fire resistant properties and compactness by arranging a heat-transfer control molding with the density of molding being 60-85% of true density around a self-burning exothermic agent to be used in a food container with heating function so that the maximum surface temperature does not exceed 300°C.
CONSTITUTION: A cartridge-type exothermic body-containing chamber 2 and cartridge-type exothermic body container 3 are received in a food container body 1 with heating function. A self-burning exothermic agent 4 molded by oxygen carrier and combustible material, heat-transfer control molding 5, ignition line 6 and encapsulant 7 are received in the container 3 and covered by a lid 8. A spark generator 9 is mounted on the outside of the lid 8 and covered by a cap 10. The heat-transfer control molding 5 is molded to the density of molding being 60-85% of true density by the use of powder of heat-resisting metal, metallic oxide, ceramic, etc., or fibrous material such as glass and alumina. Thus, a surface temperature does not exceed 300°C and safety, fire resistant properties and compactness are improved even if rice food contents do not exist at the time of ignition.
