Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce a circuit scale, to reduce cost and to realize a high detection rate by obtaining a difference signal of close picture elements at a prescribed sample period to each picture element signal being an object of movement detection, applying n-arization so as to quantize an output signal compared between pictures of movement detection. CONSTITUTION:Coding means 3a, 3b, 3c inputting R, G, B signal subjected to simultaneous time processing in a movement detection circuit 1 apply n- arization to a picture element difference signal of the input signals respectively and output the result while coding them into the n-arization. The coded output signals are compared by a comparison means 4 and quantized further by a quantizing means 5 to detect the quantity of the movement and the result is outputted from an output terminal 6 as a movement detection signal 7.
