Abstract:
A digital road map is stored on the CD-ROM, and text descriptions of prominent objects in the vicinity of the road network also stored and assigned positions in the road network. The information is output visually. Additional information relating to the objects is also stored on the disc in the form of images, image sequences, films, sound or musical documents or a mixture of these forms. A navigation system is also claimed.
