Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a laying-down carpet which hardly shifts its position even when superimposed on a carpet and prevents the cut-pile threads from falling out and also water from permeating into the carpet and provide a massive appearance and elasticity.

CONSTITUTION: A laying-down carpet is, as its feature, composed of a laminate of a carpet layer (A) for the rear face comprising crystalline polypropylene cut-pile threads (b) planted from one side of the primary base cloth (a) and an atactic polypropylene resin layer which is formed by application of the solution of atactic polypropylene having a softening point of 80-130°C in DIN 52011 in the opposite side of the cut-pile thread (b) of the primary base cloth (a) and further, a decoration layer (B) at the atactic polypropylene resinlayer (c) side of the carpet (A) layer for the rear face.
