PURPOSE: To provide a sheet metal pump casing constituted of the reduced number of parts where a hydro casing chamber and a suction passage can be divided only by a partition wall of a simple shape and welding can be easily carried out by forming the casing main body into a simple shape independent of the hydro casing chamber so as to facilitate press-forming of the casing main body.
CONSTITUTION: A pump casing is provided with a plate metal casing 2 of an approximately cylindrical container, having a bottom on one side and an opening on the other side; a partition wall 3 for dividing the inside the casing 2 into a suction chamber 4 and a hydro casing chamber 5 for containing an impeller 6; and a suction nozzle 10 communicated with the suction chamber 4 disposed on the cylindrical side wall of the casing 2, where the partition wall 3 is connected to the bottom of the casing 2 of an approximately cylindrical container.
