Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable a rule pattern to be arbitrarily formed as a pi-character and a rule of a desired form to be printed, by performing a predetermined rule processing when a part of a formed pi-character pattern is discriminated as rule information. CONSTITUTION:One-line amount of document data inputted through a keyboard KB is converted into an output image to a printer PRT, and the image is outputted to the printer PRT. When a rule pi-character code is included in the line, a pattern for the code is read from an auxiliary memory DISK, and a part corresponding to the right side is expanded by an amount corresponding to the gap between the pi-character and the right next character, and one-line amount of output image is outputted to the printer PRT. Thereafter, when it is judged that a rule pi-character is contained in the line, the pi-character pattern is expanded over the spacing between lines, thereby printing between the lines. Accordingly, the rule pattern can be arbitrarily formed as a pi-character, and a rule of a desired form can be printed.
