Abstract:
PURPOSE:To economically obtain a bulky pile cloth of soft touch resembling natural turf or moss by providing monofilament piles with crimps to form piles so as to have non-opened parts and opened parts. CONSTITUTION:On a plastic tape drawn in its longer direction Y, opened parts 11 on both left and right rows M, N are made mutually adjacent to other non- opened parts 12, and the rows made of many such opened parts 11 are formed by cut grooves continuing straight, intermittently in the direction Y, and pile yarns are made as crimped net tapes 16 having at least one crimped unevenness 14, 15 per span 13 bending in the longer direction of tape yarn-shaped span 13 defining the periphery of the opened parts 11 formed between these left and right cut grooves, thus obtaining the objective piles 17 with the pile length H longer than that of the span 13 and the number of twist per pile being either <=0.5 turns or zero.
