Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the number of component items and assembly man-hours so as to reduce a weight and cost of a motorcycle by integrating a pillion seat rail with a pillion foot rest bracket and tightening the pillion foot rest and a muffle together. CONSTITUTION: A rear end part of a seat rail 10 on which a seat is put in an upper part thereof is supported by a support tube 11. In this case, brackets 13 are attached to a connection part of the seat rail 10 and the support tube 11 and a rear end of the seat rail 10 by bolts 14, respectively. A pillion foot rest and a muffler 16 are attached to lower ends of the brackets 13, respectively. Moreover, a pillion seat rail 17 supported by a support tube 18 is fixed on the bracket 13 to constitute a pillion frame unit. Consequently, each constituent part is integrated and tightened together, thereby reducing the number of component items and assembly man-hours.
