Abstract:
PURPOSE:To effectively soften a shock in torque transmission by uniting a spring cover integral with a cylindrical portion round which a coil spring is coiled and a plate integral with an output hub through a rubber. CONSTITUTION:When an electromagnetic spring clutch magnetically attracts an armature 4 by applying an electric current to an exciting coil 2 to be integral with an input pulley 1, the clutch is adapted to fasten a coil spring 5 fitted in the outside of a flange portion 1a of an input pulley 1 and c cylindrical portion 6 to transmit torque of the input pulley 1 to an output hub 8. In this case, the cylindrical portion 6 is provided with a ring-shaped cover 7 secured thereto which is adapted to cover and support the outer peripheral surface of the spring 5. The cover 7 is fixed on a plate secured to the output hub 8 through a rubber 10 by welding. The rubber 10 functions as damper, and is seizured to the cover 7 and the plate 9.
