Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the title lens material having high refractive index, excellent impact resistance and low specific gravity by blending a specific monomer with polyisocyanate compound and thiol compound, subjecting to thiourethanization reaction and radical polymerization reaction. CONSTITUTION:(A) A radically polymerizable unsaturated group-containing monomer having a thiol group or a hydroxyl group in the molecule is reacted with (B) a polyisocyanate compound containing plural isocyanate groups in the molecule, (C) a di-or trithiol compound and (D) a monomer containing an unsaturated monomer polymerizable with the component A and the component C and polymerized in the ratio wherein when total number of mols of thiol group or hydroxyl group of the component A is a, number of mols of isocyanate group of the component B is b and number of mols of thiol group of the component C is c, the value of b/c is <=1 and (a+b)/b is >=1.5 and the amount of the component D is 20-80wt.% based on the whole amounts to give the objective material.
