Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the cut resistance of the side section of a tire by arranging a side protector made of a specific rubber material on the outer surface of the side wall of the tire, and providing a specific circular rib on the outer surface of the side protector. CONSTITUTION:Folded end sections 12A and 16A are provided around the bead core 14 of a tire 10 respectively, and multiple carcasses 12 and 16 set with the angles of respective cords against the peripheral direction of the tire 10 at 78-86 deg. are arranged. The outside section of the side wall 10A of the tire 10 is formed into a side protector 22. The side protector 22 is made of a rubber material with the Shore A hardness 50 or above and the 300% extension modu lus value 55 kg/cm<2> or above. The outer surface of the side protector 22 is formed into a circular rib 24 along the peripheral direction of the tire 10. The height of the circular rib 24 is made the highest at the center section and gradu ally decreased toward both end sections.
