Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a pneumatic radial tire of improved belt edge separation resistance by using a blend of a carbon black of a large structure with a carbon black of a relatively small structure in a ratio in a specified range. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic radial tire provided with a belt layer comprising steel cords coated with a rubber composition, wherein the rubber composition is prepared by one mixing 50-70 pts. wt. carbon black with 100 pts. wt. rubber containing at least 90 pts. wt. natural rubber, synthetic polyisoprene rubber or both, and carbon black is a blend formed by blending a carbon the black (A) having an iodine adsorption of 75-120 mg/g and a DBP absorption of 65-85ml/100g with a carbon black (B) having an iodine adsorption of 30-90mg/g and a DBP absorption of 95-150ml/100g in a blending ratio (A/B) in the range of 1/5-5/1 by weight.
