Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a solid-state polyelectrolyte with excellent mechanical strengths and high ionic conductivity by incorporating an ionic salt in a crosslinked network structure prepared by reacting a di(meth)acrylate of polyethylene glycol of a specified mol. wt. with a mono(meth)acrylate of a polyether. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of a di(meth)acrylate of a polyethylene glycol (with a mol.wt. of 2000-30000) with a mono(meth)acrylate of a polyether (e.g. polyethylene glycol) is reacted thermally or by irradiation with actinic light or an ionizing radiation to form a crosslinked network structure, and an ionic salt such as LiClO4 is incorporated in this structure to form a solid-state polyelectrolyte useful for primary batteries, secondary batteries, electrochromic displays, etc.
