Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the magnetic disk having a high density and a good traveling property of a head.
CONSTITUTION: This magnetic disk is constituted by forming concentrical or spiral tracks on a nonmagnetic substrate 4 and forming non-track parts 2 consisting of nonmagnetic films between the tracks 1. The disk is provided projecting parts 3 consisting of nonmagnetic materials having a rectangular shape projecting from the track parts 1 at a ratio of 1/102 to 1/105 of the surface area in such a manner that total sum of the surface area thereof distributes uniformly in the non-track parts 2.
