PURPOSE: The titled composition not causing a pain during bonding or filling, having no change in color, comprising a slightly water-soluble tannic acid derivative and a water-soluble reducing agent as addition agents, a metal oxide as a main component, and a component to be reacted with it to give a cured material.
CONSTITUTION: In a dental cement composition comprising the first component consisting of a metal oxide as a main component and the second component to be reacted with it to give a cured material, preferably 0.005W5wt% slightly water-soluble tannic acid derivative preferably (bonded material of tannic acid and protein, acetyltannic acid, etc.) and prefrably 0.005W3wt% water-soluble reducing agent (preferably tin compound in a low valence state, formic acid, oxalic acid, etc.) based on the total amounts of the composition are added to the composition. Especially preferably 0.01W5wt% slightly water-soluble tannic acid derivative and 0.01W5wt% water-soluble reducing agent based on the first component are added to the composition.
