PURPOSE: To produce a sintered ore in a high productivity by imparting a supplement to caloric shortage and a grain size segregation effective for gas permeability at the time of sintering to the raw material packing layer.
CONSTITUTION: A raw material to be sintered 2 blended with granulated spare material 2c is charged into a hopper. The raw material 2 discharged from the hopper is fed toward a rotary body 5 through an inclining chute 4. The raw material 2 is fed to the inclining surface 7a to be on the raw material packing layer 7 as a spread dispersed flow in a wide range by a rotary body 5. The granulated spare material 2d is distributed into the lower layer part of the raw material packing layer 7 because of its ball shape capable of easily rolling on the inclining surface 7a. The raw material packing layer 7 can have a large segregation of grain sizes suitable to the quick sintering reaction by the combined use of the rotary body 5 and the blending of the granulated material 2c.
