Abstract:
PURPOSE: To granulate a foaming thermoplastic resin compsn. enhanced in its extrusion amt. and suppressed in the decomposition of the foaming agent therein in a granulation process, formed into pellets uniform in size and capable of being molded into a molded product having an excellent foaming property by the molding of pellets.
CONSTITUTION: When a foaming resin compsn. is molded into a strand by an extruder and the strand is granulated, a die having a plurality of circular holes with a diameter of 6.0-10.0mm is used in the extruder to regulate the diameter of the obtained strand to 2-4mm.
