PURPOSE: To provide the active vibration and noise controller which eliminates a standing wave sound field and vibration in a closed space and easily forms an active absorption wall.

CONSTITUTION: A sound, etc., from a sound source or vibration source 1 is converted by a reference sound pressure or vibration detector 2 into a detection signal 4, which is supplied to a signal processor 5. The signal processor 5 supplies a control signal 6 to a control sound or vibration generator 8 on the basis of the detection signal 4 to radiates a control sound or vibration 9. The control sound or vibration 9 is put together with a primary sound or vibration 10 from the sound source or vibration source 1 and detected by error sound pressure or vibration detectors 12a and 12b installed in an error detection plate 11 at a specific interval. The signal detected by the detector 12b is inputted to a mixer 22 through a delay circuit 24 and a phase inverter 25, put together with the detection signal of the detector 12a, and led out as an error signal 13. The signal processor 5 outputs the control signal 6 which minimizes the error signal 13 supplied from the mixer 22.
